植物的故事——苎麻，从种子到成品服装！

   这组水彩画共60幅，绘于1820年，它用生动的图画形式为我们讲述了一个植物的故事——苎麻，从种子到成品服装！
   图画详细的描绘了苎麻布生产的各个具体步骤，直观鲜活地记录和展示了种麻、浸麻、剥麻、漂洗(日晒夜露)、绩麻、成线、绞团、梳麻、上桨、纺织、剪裁、缝制成衣等12道手工工序。
   苎麻是多年生宿根性草本植物，又称“中国草”，是中国特有的以纺织为主要用途的农作物。
   苎麻纤维长、强度最大，热传导性能好，吸湿透气性是棉纤维的3-5倍左右，用纺出的苎麻纱织出的布称之为苎麻布，是世界公认的“天然纤维之王”。
   我国苎麻种植加工历史悠久，源远流长。早在2600多年前的春秋战国时期，我们的祖先就已经开始从事苎麻耕种和使用手工织布。
